Law Practice Technology

Rapidly evolving technologies are transforming traditional law practice. This course will provide students with the background to understand technological changes in the legal field and how those changes are impacting the way attorneys manage their work and provide legal services. Areas of focus will include: case and client management; artificial intelligence; electronic discovery; cybersecurity; legal analytics; and competitive intelligence. Ethical issues relating to proper use of technology and data management will be addressed. Specific technical knowledge is not required. This is a skills intensive course.
