Pennsylvania Civil Procedure

Prerequisite: First Year Civil Procedure (LAW 0110) This course will cover Pennsylvania Civil Procedure, focusing on the PA procedural rules and how these rules have been interpreted by Pennsylvania courts. Reading assignments will include relevant statutes, the Rules of Civil Procedure, and applicable case law. Classroom discussion will focus on procedural issues faced by attorneys practicing law in Pennsylvania and it will frequently revolve around hypothetical fact patterns so that students can gain insight into the real world applicability of the procedural rules. We will also review actual Pennsylvania Bar Exam questions that have tested on the Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure. Exam Info: Exam administered during exam period.
